Port of Spain airline ticketets - the first step
American Airlines offer twice-daily non-stop flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad (POS) from Miami (MIA), with inter-city connections from New York (LGA) and Washington (BWI) and other departure points. There are no services directly into Tobago. Passengers arriving on the second flight of the day will need to overnight at the airport or in Port Of Spain. The AA flight arrives too late to catch the the last Tobago Express airbridge transfer to Tobago. The service utilises a Boeing 767 in three class configuration. American Airlines also offer daily direct flights between Port of Spain and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Continental Airlines offer flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad (POS) from Newark (EWR) and Houston (IAH). All flights from Houston are non-stop and also some of the flights from Newark, although others are via Houston. The service is provided in a Boeing 738 in a two class configuration. The table below shows the non-stop direct schedules for the 2005/2006 winter high season. The number of flights reduces in the summer low season (May-November). There are connecting flights from various other airports. With effect from February 2007, Delta will be providing a direct flight to Tobago from Atlanta. They have already announced that they will be introducing four flights a week from Atlanta to Port of Spain from 9th December 2006. However, this was postponed and the last news is that the service will start on 15th December 2007. Condor are part of the Thomas Cook Group. In recent years the airline changed their name to Thomas Cook powered by Condor. Fortunately sanity prevailed, the marketing men hopefully got fired, and they are now back to plain old Condor. The airline provides a year-round twice-weekly (Wednesday & Sunday) non-stop direct service to Tobago from Frankfurt, with return via Porlamar (Isla Margarita, Venezuela). Martinair offer a weekly service from Amsterdam. The flights depart and return to Schiphol airport. The outbound flight is via Porlamar (Isla Margarita, Venezuela) but the return from Tobago is non-stop. The Martinair service utilises a Boeing 767-300 carrying 272 passengers in a three class configuration of Economy and Star class, plus a Comfort class introduced for the 2005/06 season. The Comfort class appears to be a premium-economy seating, costing very little extra but offering extra legroom in a separate cabin, with personal entertainment players with a wide selection of the latest feature films and programs.
